Genesis 11:1-9 and Micah 6:8
A myth or fable perhaps, but this story is about a tower that seeks to explain why the world has diverse languages. The people wanted to build a very high tower to see if they could reach heaven . They wanted to become famous big shots and give glory to themselves! Bad idea! Pride is a bad thing and God didn't like this at all! So to prevent this tower from construction, God gave every tower worker a different language . They could not understand one another so the tower, Tower of Babel, never was built.
LESSON from Micah is, "What does the Lord require of you? to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
