Romans 8: 26-27 New Testament
"The spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts also knows the mind of the spirit, because the spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God."
The spirit refers to The Holy Spirit.
Intercedes means to speak for us, or is an advocate for us.
LESSON
It is so comforting to know that we don't have to have the perfect words or even words when we pray to God. We just have to be present with our heart. God knows our heart. The Holy Spirit will interpret your heart to God.
Personally, I've struggled with my prayers sometimes. I feel I pray the same thing over and over. But one does not have to worry about this, or the content of the prayer, because God knows your heart.
