Today's devotion is about sin. That's a pretty big concept for anyone. But sin is anything that separates us from Jesus. There are big sins and tiny sins but a sin is a sin no matter the size.
I know that you are a wonderful, kind, good, sweet, and beautiful girl. This is not directed on you personally, but it applies to anyone and everyone, young or old like me. Everyone sins and when you do, God is very sad and wants us to repent, ask for forgiveness.
The story from the devotion is about king David from the Old Testament. I said before, King David was Israel's best and most wonderful king. Jesus was born out of his lineage. He loved and worshipped God. Most of the songs in the book of Psalms are written by him! Although king David was a wonderful king and loved God and worshipped God,he did a pretty big sin. Actually, it was a huge sin! When he realized it, he really was very, very sad and extremely sorry and repented. He fell on the floor and laid there for a very, very long time crying out to the Lord to forgive him. And you know what, God certainly did forgive him, and from that moment of repentance, his sin was forgotten by God. David continued a godly life, worshiped the Lord and did so many wonderful things for God so I guess the message is no matter how big your sin is or how wonderful and pure you are, we all sin and we need to ask for forgiveness. And God surely will!
