The devotion today is a beautiful song, Psalm 8 from King David. When I sang in the choir at church, my absolutely most favorite anthem to sing was Psalm eight. I wish I could print the whole song to you. It's not very long, but I will talk about one of the lines in it.
STORY
The anthem is entitled Majesty. David is glorifying the Lord in music praising God for all of creation. I will quote just a couple lines from it.
"Lord, our Lord, how majestic is the name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants, you have established a strong hold against your enemies to silence, the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?" 💕
