Joshua 7:1-26
It is about sin. Sin is defined as doing anything that separates you from God to put simply. Not obeying the Ten Commandments.
In the devotion a man from Joshua's army took things from the "spoils" from Jericho , a city they destroyed. It's a long story, I'm just getting to the lesson of it. Spoils mean things left behind in the rubble from people who died in war.
So this was stealing In Gods eyes. This man's name was Achan. Joshua found these spoils hidden in Achans tent. God punished the man and his family. This story is found in the Old Testament in Joshua 7 Now to the lesson of it. All of us sin unfortunately but Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead. It is because of this we have eternal life, salvation..
I'm sorry this is long but I think a great lesson.
