Angels Worship Him

Today's devotion is one that gives me a beautiful, wow feeling! It's about praising God forever in his kingdom!

SCRIPTURE

Revelation 5:8-14 last book in the Bible.

This final book in the Bible is the fifth book written by the apostle John. It is apocalyptic which means about "end times", prophecy. These were visions revealed to John while staying in a cave on the Greek island of Patmos while in exile from Rome under emperor Domitian.

These verses are glorious ones with tens upon tens of thousands of angels singing a magnificent song of adoration for God in heaven.

Following is paraphrased:

Then I, meaning John in his vision, heard around the throne of God, the living creatures and the elders, the voice of many angels saying in a loud voice, "Worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and honor and glory and blessing!" and I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and in the sea, singing, "to him who sits upon the throne and unto the lamb, be blessing and honor and glory forever and ever!" All the angels and saints fell down and worshiped.

(The lamb refers to Jesus, a concept for later.)

LESSON

WOW!  These words give me serious goosebumps! Pop pop, and I were in this small cave (yes, truly!) and felt the Holy Spirit surrounding us there! It was truly amazingly comforting to me to know that at the end of life we will be in glorious magnificent place in heaven, surrounded by angels singing to God!

All things eventually will come to an end. Yes, this may be a heavy thought. But it shouldn't be because we are promised that through eternity we will be in a  heavenly kingdom with love, song and beauty surrounding us forever. Amen and amen.💕
