SCRIPTURE
John 15:9-17 New Testament
Jesus is talking here.
"As the father has loved me, so I have loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my father's commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete . My command is this: love each other as I have loved you."
LESSON
Oh my, that whole chapter of John 15 has a lot more in it. But I am in choosing the part about love again. If you remember anything about what the Bible is about, it's about love. The faithfulness of God's love for His beloved children. The message of the Old Testament, through prophecy and through all the stories of kings , prophets, forbears of faith like Abraham, Moses is pointing to the Messiah Jesus. So the Old Testament is the New Testament concealed; whereas the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. So what does that have to do with love? Everything. The message is God loved us so much with unimaginable love that he sent his son to reveal that love. He wants us to love him but also love one another.
The ultra famous singing group, Beatles, wrote this song about love.
"All you need is love love, All You Need Is Love, All You Need Is Love love love is all you need. There's nothing you can know that isn't known, nothing you can see that isn't shown, there's nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be. It's easy. All you need is love.💕
